The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong – Foundation Gallery held its Soft Opening on 27 January 2026 (Tuesday) to celebrate the contributions of various units and student artists. The Foundation Gallery proudly presents two new exhibitions "Objects of Interest" in the University Collection and "Never Forget Your Original Aspiration: AAD Matriculation Show 2025-2026" in the Feature Exhibition.
Professor Desmond Hui, Chairman of the Working Group on Foundation Gallery Curation, shared the curation concept behind the exhibitions and encouraged Schools and students to actively participate in the related events and add their dynamic interpretations.
In the President's Adress, President Ho thanked the Foundation Management Committee Chairman and members for their vision, collective efforts and donations to HSUHK and all the support from related units and students for making the Foundation Gallery possible. President Ho also highlighted the Foundation Gallery's aim to nurture talents, foster dialogue, and celebrate the richness of human expressions through the space.
Beyond its architectural presence, the Foundation Gallery has evolved to hold profound scholarly and cultural significance. It will serve as a platform for facilitating research, scholarly projects, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The Foundation Gallery will continue to present a number of exhibitions with renowned artists and organisations.
